JSP SHRARA — Sources, copyright and reuse

Being able to find a source does not mean we are free to reproduce the entire text, recording or image without limitation. Responsible knowledge production combines verifiability with respect for creators.

Origin and conditions

For each source, we aim to record the author or organization, title, publication date, location, license, revision status and relevant conditions. A source link is not the same as permission to copy a protected work in its entirety.

Encyclopedic origin

When reusing Wikipedia or similar encyclopedic contributions, relevant Creative Commons licenses, attribution, license links and the conditions regarding edits are important. Facts themselves are not the same as the copyright-protected wording used to describe them.

Audio, video and news

For podcasts, journalistic footage and complete programs, it must be clear whether embedding, brief discussion, citation or republication is permitted. Where that is not possible, we refer to the original work and create solely a lawful, independent dossier.

Privacy and historical archives

Public data is not automatically suitable for unlimited distribution. Minors, victims, private individuals and incorrect personal data require extra caution. The ability to cite a source does not exempt us from other legal and ethical responsibilities.

Development status

The rights inventory is a requirement for future imports; there is no authorization to copy all news media in their entirety.

Accountability

This is an editorial or technical design document in the public development environment. It does not prove that a globally automated check or substantive validation is already functional. Facts, opinions, interpretations and uncertainties remain distinct.
