JSP MEDICAL DEVICES — Prototypes & design cycle
The path from a technical idea to a usable device consists of iterations, proof, and repeatable tests.
Problem and context of use
Start with a concrete problem, the intended user, environment, and measurable usage requirements. Unsafe assumptions are identified first.
From design to prototype testing
Concept sketches, digital models, technical proof of concept, and controlled usability tests each have a distinct proof status.
Errors and stop criteria
In the event of deviations, confusion regarding operation, measurement errors, or inadequate safety, the design must return to an earlier phase. Safety takes precedence over time pressure.
Our responsibility
We explicitly distinguish between intended medical applications, general information technology, prototype research, and an officially approved product. Patients and healthcare professionals should not derive undue confidence from attractive visualizations.
Current status
Prototyping trajectory in design; no completed clinical or production validation claimed.
