Where do we stand with JSP MAIL?

This page distinguishes ambitions from products and services that are actually available. We do not want to leave an audience in uncertainty about what exists, is being tested, or still needs to be developed.

Current public status

Design phase and software development. The public website is not an operational email service and does not yet register customer accounts.

What is still needed before we are ready?

  1. Inbox, search, archiving and secure attachments: define testable acceptance criteria, responsible specialists and independently verifiable results.
  2. Clear identity, mail security and interoperability: define testable acceptance criteria, responsible specialists and independently verifiable results.
  3. Courteous writing assistance and optional DAM-DMA integration: define testable acceptance criteria, responsible specialists and independently verifiable results.
  4. Human control over dispatch, retention period and privacy: define testable acceptance criteria, responsible specialists and independently verifiable results.

What do we not promise?

We do not promise a delivery date, legal permission, scientific effect, availability, automatic certification, or faultlessness here without the necessary documents and external verification.

How do we keep the development honest?

By separating public status updates and demonstrable tests from strategic goals; by correcting errors and by showing stakeholders the boundaries of the project.
